Bloom Day – November 2008

There’s nothing new this month: the only blooms hanging on through the chilly weather are the snapdragons and calendula.  They look about the same as they have for the past month, so I’m not going to brave the spitting snow to take a picture.

November in Chicago is not much fun: the temperature is dropping, the day is shortening, and it’s cloudy most of the time.  About the one good thing I can say about it is that you usually don’t have to do a lot of snow shoveling yet….

  1. Sorry you are so cold. It will be in the 30’s tonight and I am dreading that. Not used to a lot of cold. Sip some hot chocolate, read a good book or watch a movie, but for sure stay toasty!

  2. I love your autumn color post. I can’t remember a year with better color than this one. I should plant some Snapdragons next year to get some more late blooms. It’s starting to look pretty stark out there.
