It’s starting to look a bit like summer! In bloom now:
Blackhaw viburnum (Viburnum prunifolium) – above – This shrub was planted in fall 2005, and didn’t bloom last year. I was a bit worried, but it bloomed like a champ starting a week ago.
Wild geranium
Violets
Strawberries
Lilies of the valley
Dutchman’s pipe (Aristolochia macrophylla) – below, looking a little sad due to the hot weather and lack of rain.
Prairie trillium (Trillium recurvatum)
Coming soon:
Solomon’s seal
Annabelle and oakleaf hydrangeas
Wild irises…I hope! I haven’t seen any of them bloom yet, but my perennials have been looking very good so far this spring.

Your Viburnum is looking good. You’ve got strawberries in flower too, then things can’t be so bad in your garden. 🙂 Love Solomon’s Seal!

I also have a Blackhaw Viburnum, but it bloomed several weeks ago. Based on your list of what is blooming in your garden, I think my garening is running 2 – 3 weeks ahead.
