Things I should just not try to plant again July 27, 2007

  • tomatoes – let the CSA grow them because the squirrels always eat them here
  • anything requiring full sun anywhere outside of the north bed (and even that is iffy)
  • Phlox divaricata – at least see if any of the 5 plants I’ve put in all over the yard ever take off before buying any more!
  • I think we have enough fennel plants now.  I never bought any – they’re all volunteers – but I need to be more vicious about ripping them out even though the leaves and seeds smell and taste wonderful.  On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind having them colonize the alley bed, which has been taken over by some sort of big plant with burs on it.
