C'mon down! There's lots of ponds in a fairly small area, and I can point visitors to some really great local restaurants. We may even have Oak Park Farmers Market donuts for the early birds....

A friend who just put in a pond bought the book & we went to some of the ponds in the NW burbs on Sunday. I'd love to visit yours. I'll have to see if she can make it Saturday. How fun!

Thanks, Gina! Yep, the second photo is of a water lily, with a water hyacinth right where the flower is. (Water hyacinths are floating plants, so they sorta wander around the pond.)

The first photo has swamp phlox in the foreground, grape woodbine to the left, and pickerel weed just starting to bloom in the background.

The pond is looking lovely as ever. I especially love the second photo. Is that a water lily? I'm clueless.
